And if they had been kind and informed her that if she re-acquired her Philippine citizenship all of the "fees" would have been moot.

 

Heck there is even the SRRVisa which is aimed squarely at former Philippines (age 35 and older) and would have negated the "exit fees" also.

Exactly! We weren't lucky enough to know visajourney at that time.
