Hello everyone, Today I received an email advising that “Your Visa application documents are ready for pickup at the courier.” Along with a tracking number with the location for pick up My question is does this mean the visa has been issued? I’m confused because Ceac status is still displaying AP as the status but I noticed since last week it showed updated everyday until 10/30 then as of today which is two days after any update the email came with the tracking number.

Usually they’ll tell you that your visa was issued or your CEAC status will change to issued. How long have you been in AP?

How was your interview?

Did you receive a 221g & get put under AP for a specific reason?

Did you have to send in more documents?

It’s been in AP for since 02/2018. My husband was waiting on a clearance letter from the court( they move very slow and no one seemed to understand the basic request). On Monday the embassy emailed to say CO is reviewing case and if any other documents are needed my husband would be contacted as they have done in the past. Fast forward to this evening I received the email with a tracking number.

Did they keep the passport after the interview? I’m not very familiar with how JA do things but I’m in AP right now as well after sending in additional documents (still waiting) but from what I’ve seen, they’ll usually change your status from AP to issued. I don’t want to worry you but I would suggest contacting your embassy to know exactly what it is that they sent you since they only said “Visa application documents are ready for pick up” yet you’re still in AP.

Hello everyone... the package picked up was a disappointment. His visa was denied after review due to a criminal conviction( in 2011 he was arrested in Jamaica because he was smoking weed in a bar and mouthing off to the officer is really what pushed the arrest. He was given community service as a result.) the letter he was giving stated he may be eligible for the visa if a waiver was filed. I printed the form and began filling it out and doing research on how to reply to  the hardship statement. My issue is I really just don’t even know if that will work and to pay almost $1000 for it and still be denied will then put me into hardship. I just need some suggestion and help. I’m tired.

There is a VJ member on here that went through that.  Maybe she can help you. I'll try to find her.
