So I recently filed my ead application to USCIS in Dallas. I was confused where to send the cheque or money order. Website says make the cheque payable to US homeland security. I then sent the cheque to US homeland security in Washington DC. I seem to have made a mistake. Anybody went through this and help me out?

hi

what type of petition is it for? the ead is usually free of charge, no need to pay for it.

is it for a petition for a green card or for what?

the check always goes with the application, so you'll get an rfe on your application because they didn't receive the check with the application and they can't process it

and probably Washington will return the check to you,.

When I have no idea.

EAD for J-2 visa. I had a few job offers so I needed to apply for EAD. USCIS says application fee for J-2 is $410.
