Noom needs to renew his passport while we are in Thailand next month. We've heard there is a same day passport service in Bangkok. Does anyone know if this is true? And if it is true, where is the same day service available? Thanks,

My GF just got her first passport and I asked if they gave her an option for next day. Nope, They just sent her home. But she got it quick, one week later

There is only Passport Office at Chang Wattana Road has a same day service.
You need to submit your renew request by morning period then you can pick up your new passport within afternoon period.
The fees for Same day pick up will more charge more than standard one.

Have you considered renewing Noom's passport at a Thai consulate within the US? A friend of mine was able to do such a thing. The only issue for you (since you live in NC) is that there are just four of them: the main embassy in DC, along with consulates in NY, LA, and Chicago.

We go my wife's passport and our newborn 4 month old daughters passport in the same day at the Bangkok office. If you can show you are leaving the country soon you can get it same day. If you will be there a few weeks then it can usually be over night to a few days.
