I have gone through this during my own passport process and now going through wifey's. Easier to send in the original certificate + copy (not certified copy) - less running around. USCIS Seattle does not give a certified copy. You do get your Naturalization Certificate back in the mail, but way after you have your passport in hand.

 

My wife walked in KCDC Seattle at 8:30 (1st in line) and was done with the process in 10 mins. We went for the expedited application process, not the emergency process.

Just in August, I got my expedited passport 6 days after I applied. Pretty fast!

i got it yesterday 11/3 . Went to USPS on Oct 25 and i didn't use the expedited. So it came pretty fast.

N-400:

Oct 2  : Sent N-400

Oct 3  : Cash

Oct 6  : Noa

Oct 30 : Biometric

Aug 10 : Interview Letter in Mail

Sept 18 : Interview ( Passed )

Sept 25 : Oath Letter in Mail

Oct 8 : Oath Ceremony ( I am officially a U.S. Citizen! )
