Has any april aos filer gotten their interview yet? Just got a text today saying they’re ready to schedule interview. I was honestly surprised because I thought it would be next year before I got one because it says 10-20 months. Can anyone who’s gone through it tell me how long between the text message and receiving a notification with an interview date? Thanks.

A lot will depend on how busy your local office is. If they are not busy then it could be quick. But if it is a boy fiche it could take a long time and we are starting to get into the holiday seasons for vacations and such.

For our K2 our  received date is 4/2/18.

We had the email saying that they were ready to schedule the interview on 8/23.

It wasn't until 9/28 an email came to say that the interview was scheduled.

As of 10/4 we are still waiting for the letter with the date and information.

My worry is this is only for the I-485, we have had nothing on the I-131 or  I-765.

Jan. 28, 2016: mailed the I-129F application

Feb. 1, 2016 arrived to the lockbox NOA1

Feb 4, 2016 check cashed

Feb. 8, 2016 Signed return receipt arrived

April 7, 2016 Case was approved NOA2

Aug. 5, 2016 was issused a new NOA2, the first one was never sent and it took 4 months to find and issue a new one

Aug. 17, 2016 arrived to NVC FINALLY!!!!

Aug. 22, 2016 Case and Invoice number and sent to Santo Domingo

Aug. 24 Case READY in Santo Domingo :)

If they’re ready to schedule your aos interview you won’t hear about EAD/AP anymore. Those will not issue now because you’ll get greencard instead.

I hope mine is either super fast or takes a couple of months. Don’t want it to be on the middle of our vacation. But knowing my luck it will.

That is my hope, but with this process you never know anymore!

Our letter came today!

Our interview is set for Nov. 8th.

Do you know how long after the interview we should have the green card?

I was really hoping to travel over Christmas, but this is pushing it!

Is there anyway to get the travel permit prior to the green card?

Thank you!

Oh that’s cool then it may not fall into my vacation.

Do you not have EAD/AP? You can travel with that. It shouldn’t be long after interview but with the holidays we never know.

No, we have only received our NOA1, nothing more.
