USCIS wants bad green card that I already sent them; what to do? [split topic]

Hello,

A friend told me that here in this forum someone can possibly guide me,

I sent Form I-90 because the green card came with an error in my name. I sent all the support documents required by said Form together with the original card (No Copy).

Afterwards, USCIS sent me a letter saying that they covered my application and sent me an appointment for the prints and I did so.

Then USCIS sends me a letter asking me to send you the original card (No Copy) and all the supporting documents that I sent you initially.

What can I do, if I already sent them everything they are asking me, I already sent the original card and USCIS says that what I sent was a copy. They say that if I do not send what they ask me within the next 87 days they will deny my case.

Please orient me that I do not know what to do.
Thank you very much to all….

@I need your help

Can you please clarify some stuff because it's quite confusing.

were you already issued a green card and you applied for vawa?

I may be wrong but from what I have read with USCIS, you do not send an original of any document until you are requested to do so, you send them copies of everything whiles you keep the originals.

If you had copies of everything you sent, please resend them again and make sure you add a cover letter explaining.

That's my suggestion but please wait for further information from the experienced moderators here on how to get it sorted out within your rfe time frame.

God bless 👍

I'm not a Vawa applicant, just send Form I-90 correcting an error on my residency card.
What can I do if I send my original card to USCIS and they now say that I sent them a copy of that card?

Please look for the correct part of the forum then. This thread is only for VAWA applicants/questions around VAWA.

Did you sent it a cover letter when you mailed the original green card and mentioned that were submitting the original? If yes just answer the RFE and informed that you mailed the original.
