Do I need birth certificate for my mother.

I am very worry about my mother's birth certificate. My mother's birth is from a small village of himachal pradesh but information on birth certificate is not match with her passport, and there is a wrong spelling for her birth place on her passport. I do know, what should I do now.

If the birth certificate is not available an affidavit from a person older tha your mother who was witness to her birth should work.

My mother does not have her birth certificate nor non availability certificate. But, her mother and older sister can write affidavits for her. Are they sufficient or she needs non availability birth certificate too.

Is Non availability birth certificate from gram panchyat acceptable for green card or not? It is in English bit stamp is in Hindi.

Non aviability of birth certificate should be from office where civil documents are issued like Municipal corporation in case of towns and gram panchayat for villages. So if your mother is born in village then NABC from Gram Panchayat is suffice. 

Have two affidavit made in name of persons who has witnessed your mother's birth in that place.

these three documents NABC, 2 affidavit attesting to your mother's birth will be enough.

If there is any part of these documents which is in Hindi, then get it translated and notorize it

What about if mother born in 1977 and no birth certificate available neither non availability of birth certificate... can affidavits from elder relatives and secondary evidence like matriculation school board certificate enough?
