Hi everyone,

So the boy got good news at his London interview. I would appreciate some answers to the following.

Does he have to pay an immigrant fee of $220

Does he have to file more paperwork to get an EAD card / Green Card

Will he have to goto Biometrics in Texas to make the Green Card appear

Thank you so much in advance

It would help to know what visa he got, but if it’s a immigrant visa yes he has to pay the immigrant fee and no to the other questions as he becomes a LPR on landing.

Yes, the fee needs to be paid, any time before US entry, or soon after. The green card would not be produced without the fee.

There's no EAD or biometrics, nothing. So no more paperwork.

Its an immigrant visa. So just pay the fee and wait for the 10 year green card to arrive. He doesn't need to do AOS or anything else?

Correct; he'll be an LPR on entry -no AOS.

Couple of weeks after US entry, he should visit the Social Security office about getting SSN.
