USCIS is trying to avoid situations where people put in applications with little to no evidence and then the applicant brings the information to the interview.

It's been in heavy discussion over the last couple of months but it's the Trump era of immigration.

Haven't received the hard copy yet, I expect it in the next few days.

I sent in less evidence, just can't be bother with USCIS. They should cash my check and let the process roll on.

I'll have my fingers crossed for you--uncertain times with USCIS can be a pain.  Can't wait for this process to be over.  One more year till we can file the N400 and another year on top of that to deliberate on it for my husband.

Looking forward to a time when I don't have to deal with them.

Then again, I'm screwed.  I'm an attorney and practice immigration law haha

yeah we are waiting for our NOA, his green card is now expired so he's nervous about getting deported. I don't think he will but he's nervous. :(

Same with my husband.  The best advice is to carry a copy of the application with you at all times with any tracking information you have for the application that was sent.

its not a sure way to avoid any issues but it’s better than nothing without a hard copy of the NOA.

also if you filed a g-1145, keep a copy of the notification along with the USCIS number.  You can give that to anyone that asks.  If they want to verify it’s with USCIS.

I mean, I don’t know. We moved twice in last 10 months. I changed our address every time on USCIS website yet they sent my mail to TN which I didn’t know about until it popped in a mail in GA and it had the forwarding sticker on it like all of our mail does. So I don’t know. 🤷🏼‍♀️

We’ve had mail forwarded from USCIS too (we’re also military).

@vpalermo85 When did you file, your timeline shows 9/10 but you are saying Texas center. I though only folks who filed on or after 9/11 are texas or phoenix center

DId you get your paper NOA yet?

I filed on 9/19, checks cashed 9/25, not yet got the paper NOA

@vpalermo85 Same here , forgot to file G-1145

Me: USCIS received 9/19, check cashed 9/25, still waiting for paper NOA. I think you'll get any day now, I'm expecting in 10 business days . My GC expires 12/12. Btw can we get an extension stamp if we dont get paper NOA, since you are a lawyer thought you might know.

Luckily my DL shows expiring in the year 2023 and employers dont re-verify Greencards(LPR or CPR).
