Hello everyone. My i485 is pending on the base of marriage. Few months ago after receiving work authorization and advance parole the online status was "the local officer is scheduling your interview" but after some time the status is unavailable. I recently sent my work authorization for renewal which is to be expired in Dec this year. Is that anybody to tell me please why the status is unavailable? I called the USCIS, they says your case is in normal processing time.

my second question is, is it safe to travel on parole to home country for few days? I'm from Pakistan and my wife here in US is white and she is govt teacher and our marriage is bonafide but I'm scared of traveling?

My third question is, how long it gonna take to renew my work authorization and advance parole card? Can I travel before getting renewed card because my current card is valid.

please guide me by answering questions.

Thanks everyone

As long as your AP is still valid, traveling on AP is permitted.

Only USCs are guaranteed entry. But unless there is a reason for them to deny entry on AP, people are overwhelmingly fine doing so.

There is a risk of AOS being denied while abroad, in which case the AP document is canceled and you would need a CR-1/IR-1 visa to return.

I had the same message when I checked USCIS website. When I called and spoke to an immigration officer, he told me that my case was moved to a waiting fase and that I needed to just wait for them to schedule the interview. So it might be soon for you
