Checklist for dad with prior marriage (of my mom)

My BC

My mom's divorce decree from previous marriage

Mom & dad marriage cert

My naturalization certificate

my marriage certificate to account for name change

 

Question:

my dad has remarried & divorced again since his divorce from my mom

Do I need any of these?

My mom's marriage certificate from her first marriage

My dad's marriage certificate from his second marriage (the one AFTER she divorced my mom)

mom& dad's divorce decree

dad's divorce decree regarding his second marriage

 

It's crazy confusing LOL. The timeline is this:

Mom gets married to her first husband (let's call him Alvin)

mom divorces Alvin

Mom marries dad

I'm born

Mom& dad divorce

Dad marries wife #2

they have 3 kids

Dad divorces wife #3

BTW dad's 2nd divorce is only on paper (they did it to get the equivalent of $40k state help in buying their apartment)

So you’re petitioning your father? Approach it from IO point of view- they want to see all marriages and divorces accounted for. Get all marriage and divorce papers to include with the I-130 petition- always better to send more than be issued with RFE (or worse, denied - saw the thread on USCIS now able to deny without RFE requests?).

Sure but I don't see how they can deny for not sending something that's NOT requested in the instructions....

Follow up questions: 

I can't petition my (ex)stepmom now, even if they remarry, correct?

My dad can petition her if they remarry & the kids (even if they don't remarry), correct?

Correct, you can’t petition your stepmom (as marriage was over even if they remarried), but your dad can petition her via F2A.
