Couple of questions:

1- just got my approved noa2 confirmation on the phone today, but website hasn’t updated with approved. Did anyone else have this happen and did it change later? Just making sure the person was correct in saying we have been approved lol

2- what exactly is the ds-160? I’m confused because my fiancé got his police background check from Belgium. Does he also need the ds-160?

Ds160 is a form which we have to fill for our interview.!!

Do they require a copy of 129f? Because I never made a copy of it😱😱

No reason to have a copy. Some do so she knows your history in the event she is asked at the interview. Most don't and they passed.

Yay! I got my casenumber today through email (asknvc@state.gov)

NOA2 August 13th

NVC# August 28th

When I checked on my case status it is still at the NVC (of course) but when I clicked on a hyperlink it takes me to a website where I need to follow 6 steps.. Like paying visa fees, filling in the DS-260? and some other stuff..

I am not sure if I need to follow these steps since I need to fill in the DS-160.. @Greenbaum do you have information about this?

Yes I have information on that. The K-1 process is quite strange. For a time, it is both a non-immigrant and immigrant visa type. That is why the links (what you received in the email) will send you the process for immigrant which would be the I-864 and DS-260 even though it truly is a non-immigrant visa requiring I-134 and the DS-160. As you go through the stages, within the NVC system you look up your file under immigrant (CEAC.gov). It stays that way until after your interview and the approval and your visa is ready for issue. At that point, it changes over to non -immigrant. It truly is a non-immigrant visa with immigrant intent.

So ignore what that says and continue with the DS-160 and scheduling your interview with your Embassy.

I have a question about form I-134 (page 4, part 3, item 38).

I intend  do not intent to make specific contributions to support the person named in Part 2.

Do I select intend or do not intent or leave it blank for sponsoring my fiance?

The example in visa journey leaves it blank but just want to double check just to be absolutely sure that it is correct.

This is what I have for your Embassy. The P3 letter is dated 2016 so things might have changed. Please contact your Embassy for an updated P3. If you could send me a copy I would appreciate it. This way I can help others who come behind you. Thanks

In the new revised I-134 form dated 2018 - Question #38 now regards contributions.  You leave the yes/no boxes "unchecked" and your explanation is submitted in Part 7 on page 8 of the new form.

You will do this:

3.a. "Page 4"

3.b. "Part Number 3"

3.c. "Item Number 38"

3.d. "N/A (K1 Visa Process For Permanent Residence)"

A few pages back (I'll repost in the event you don't have it) I ask that you update your profile to reflect your country. I have many of the P3 letters that answer "what else to collect" question but I can't send you anything till that is completed. If you chose not to that's will be fine with me and I will just move on. Thank you.

Many of our answers are predicated on the information you supply in your profile. When we look at the left column and can't determine your timeline or your Embassy it's hard for us to give you a factual answer. If you look at the profile of others here, they have a flag for their country, so it makes it easy for us to reply as we can quickly determine your Embassy. Our answers will sometimes be tailored to a specific Embassy hence the reason for you to complete your profile.

So, if you could help yourself out and complete your profile that sure would help us out when we want to reply to your question with factual information.

Go to the top right of this page select your name (it's on the upper right hand corner)>my profile>[below your picture on the right column] edit my profile. Scroll to the bottom and fill in "Immigration Info". There now we can better serve you.

Thanks
