I am aggravated after 7 long months I got an RFE had to wait for my husband to go to the Supreme Court in Guyana to get a certify copy of his divorce paper to resubmit.  Apparently the wording say DECREE NISI - this is like submitting a petition for a divorce and wasn't suffice.  Of course everything in South America, Guyana is a long and excruciating wait.  I  finally received the papers from my husband so, I'm meeting with an attorney to make sure what I received is good enough.  Anyone from Guyana going through this process to sponsor their spouse? If so please share your journey.  With our filing dates we are supposed to have been onto the NVC process. We just have to sit back and allow the process, sometimes it's frustrating but our immigration system is in chaos at least we know our case is being worked on.  December 8th, 2017 filer here and like the processing center says 5-7 months I will hear from USCIS and I most certainly did.  Just venting :-) The only thing now this RFE once sent will take 60 days i was told sometimes less keep my fingers cross..

If you are December filers than 6-7 months are normal to get approved. Once you send response to RFE it could take few weeks to get your approval. Shouldn't take 2 months.

Hello, I just came across your post. We also have a degree that shows "Decree Nisi" but infront of it it says "Referring to the Decree Nisi made in this cause on the ....date". It also has a certified stamped at the bottom. I am wondering if this is what you have also? And how was the initial decree differ from the 2nd one you obtained?
