we filed for 485, EAD & AP on March 27. we called USCIS on 6/22 to expedite EAD/AP and then mailed via USPS (6/29) and faxed the documents (7/3) (job offer). it's been more than a week and haven't received any update from USCIS. if we call, they say, they won't confirm, whether they have received the documents and processing the request. We have also contacted the senators to expedite them. Do you usually get response from USCIS once you send the fax or send by USPS? how to get status update? how long could this take?

most people do not qualify for an expedited EAD.

Lots of people think they do, but very few DO.

Really, you're pretty close to the average time frame for a regular EAD at this point- 4-6 months. You can keep calling once a week or so, but it may or may not do any good. If you have a USCIS Account you may be able to see there before you receive any other notification.

You actually confused the USCIS by filing EAD on one side and AP on the other side. On one side you are showing your intentions to stay and work in the USA and on the other side you are showing your intentions to go out of the USA by applying for AP. Have patience.

One of the job requirements is the ability to travel to Canada to client's location

most people apply for both AP and EAD at the same time. Doing so is routine, and doesnt concern them at all.
