question regarding apply I-131 while filing I 485

hi everyone,

 

just a quick question. it seems like unless you have very solid reason you need the I-131, is that not encourageble to apply for I-131? what reason I should choose when apply for I-131 while fling I-485?

We applied for AP along with EAD when we filed the I 485. I think I wrote “traveling to see aging parents or emergency” when applying for AP.....life happens....it’s better to file for it during AOS than try to get it later (if an emergency arises).

nothing to lose to apply it with I-485, cos if you file it now it will be free of charge. and as above, just in case of an emergency.

for mine, i just wrote "unknown" for the date and reason of travel.

so for the application type, should choose  "1.d. I am applying for an Advance Parole Document to allow me to return to the United States after temporary foreign travel?"
