I think our story is fine, just curious about any tips - how to be concise and not long winded, and what is most effective?

Do you have evidence of meeting to go with it, or is this for the I-129F? Or are you wanting to write something to go in as evidence, because you think you don't have enough?

If it's regarding the form I literally wrote this:

I had met Lisa’s brother gaming online, and we continued to be good friends for several years since then. In 2016 he had invited me to visit him.
See Part 8 Additional Information. (Last page of I-129F Form)

I went to London in August 2016, and was introduced to Lisa. We spent a considerable amount of time together, as well as with friends.

All evidence I sent with my I-129F supported this statement. Photo's with friends from first trip, photo's of subsequent trips, with boarding passes etc.

I-129F Submitted: 01 November 2017NOA1 Received: 03 November 2017NOA2 Received: 22 May 2018 | NVC Received: 08 June 2018 | Consulate Received: 06 July 2018 | Medical: 27 July 2018 | Interview: 10 August 2018 (APPROVED) | VISA in Hand: 22 August 2018 | POE: 28 September 2018 :joy:

Thanks. It's for the I-129F. We do not have any receipts, but I do have photos of us together as well as a statement from his son, who was with us for 2 days. Just not sure how detailed and long the decl of meeting in person must be.

no worries.

I didn't submit any receipts.

I submitted:

  • Facebook location, photos & tags
  • Passport stamps
  • Boarding passes
  • Itineraries
  • Photo's (dated, with locations and peoples names in photos)
  • A couple of ticket stubs from places we went to, which corresponded with Facebook & other photo's

Just annotate everything.

If you met online and met in person after that, I would say that you met online (date, length of time until you met in person), and in the additional information part on page 8 detail when you first met in person. Does that help? As long as your evidence shows you did meet in person this will be fine. In the grand scheme of things, a receipt on its own doesn't really prove you met in person.

You don't need to compel anyone, just prove that you've met in person within the last 2 years as required for the K-1.

I know ;) Just concerned mine is too long and waffly.
