That letter from the embassy would be the 221g letter which is issued after the interview when there are missing documents.  (embassy emails this to the applicant)

The letter looks like this (I would believe the emailed "letter" looks the same)

I already got your answer in the other thread. I am looking for other people's experience. A letter after the interview doesn't help.

Please someone that has requested a police clearance from HK, let me know what you sent.

thank you very much

Pardon me.     Trust me others, that are here on the forum, would have responded in your other posting.

Have fun ~

thanks Hank. Sometimes things get buried. I wanted to make a clear title so it's more obvious what I am looking for. There must be someone that has the information that i need.

The letter from NVC document checklist list will do. I highlighted where it said it said the police certificate. That's what I used. That way when I went to the interview, my HK Police Clearance was already at the embassy.

Yes I sent all of those . Then I received a letter from HK Police that my application was received and that if my record is clean , the certificate will be available in 4 weeks. When I went to the Embassy for the interview, my HK Police Certificate was already there. I showed them my receipt and the letter I received from HK Police. Didn't get 221G.

I have an account with Metrobank. That's where I got the Bank draft. Ask your wife to go where she has an account with and ask. Mines took a week because it has to be sent to the main office in Manila.

a Request letter , attached NOA 2, letter from NVC ( I only sent the email version, though it doesn't really specify the need to get police clearance, I think it only indicates the need to provide civil documents, bank draft , copy of marriage certificate and passport copy for myself and my husband as proof of identity. all the forms required by HK police and of course fingerprints. Send them all to Hongkong . The HK police will forward the result to the embassy in Manila. You will only received a receipt copy of your payment and you can bring that as a reference to your interview.

They are asking for either the NOA2 letter or go to Window 38 at the US embassy in Manila and ask for the consulate letter requesting the PC if not, then email:

 IVMANILAREPLIES@STATE.GOV

***Request for the consulate to issue a letter officially requesting the Hong Kong Police Force to release a COC or certificate of Clearance. Make sure that the letter states that "A STATUTE OF DECLARATION IS NOT ACCEPTABLE.

The US embassy can send this to you by Mail or by email
