Hi everyone,

So on Monday we were informed that our NVC processing has been approved and that they will be getting in contact with the US Embassy in Ankara Turkey to set up an interview date, so we are very excited! I was wondering if anyone has any tips for the interview? What should we take? What kind of questions do they ask? Just a general idea of what to expect. Am I allowed/supposed to go to the interview with my husband? Thanks in advance!

My review is the first one from the link above...so it answers most of your questions. You are not allowed to attend the interview. They will send an email telling you what to bring...but basically my husband brought all originals & copies of everything we sent to NVC. He also brought a lot of photos but they didn't even look at them.

Also keep in mind that there is only one doctor in all of Turkey that can do his medical...and they're located in Ankara. They do the exam one day & then the next day you pick up the results. So my husband flew to Ankara for the medical & stayed 2 nights...and then 3 weeks later he went back for the interview.

Did you also take copies of the original i130 petition for alien relative and paperwork that accompanied that packet?  Just curious as I'm trying to get a head start on my wife's interview docs.  TIA

No he did not take the I-130. There are a few repeat documents that the NVC asks for that was sent with the I-130 such as petitioners bio page of passport & marriage certificate...But the only other thing he brought that was in the I-130 packet was proof of bona fide relationship.
