Hi guys, My spouse and would be submitting the joint application for removing conditions of residency by the end of the month. I have a few questions;  what do you think meet the CRITERIA for strong supporting evidence that we have been together in good Faith?  We would be submitting our

I. Joint tax returns for past two years  ii. Joint bank account statements In last 3months  iii. Health insurance card with spouse listed as beneficiary iv. 401k plan with spouse as beneficiary.  Do we have to submit photographs, we don't really have much of that and I'm not really a fan of taking photos.

Also what is the exact cost for filling and does it include biometric fees? Some say it $595 And others say $505. I need to buy the money order in correct amount.

Any suggestions or anything you think should be added would be much welcome. Awaiting your response

You need to read the instructions for what to send with the I-751.  You need to send evidence from the beginning of your marriage.  So the last 3 months of bank statements is not going to cut it.

You should send as much of the following as you have:

Tax returns (3 years is better, if you have them)

Proof that you live together and have been living together (lease, mortgage, homeowners insurance, driver's licenses)

Proof that you bank together (bank and credit card statements from the start of your marriage)

Proof that you do life together (medical insurance, car insurance, joint credit cards, gym memberships, birth certificates of children, travel receipts)

Extra credit:  Proof that you have planned for the future together (wills, medical powers-of-attorney)

Good luck.  Do not skimp on evidence now.  Better over-prepared than having to wait on an RFE.

I sent in the minimum amount of documentation and was approved without an interview.

We don't share bank accounts and therefore there was no joint bank account to provide statements for. Not all married couples share finances so I don't believe this means anything. If you're worried about proving that you live together in the same household, maybe a contract for homeowner's insurance, or a personal property tax bill for your cars. I live in Virginia and have to pay assessed taxes on our cars EVERY year and the bills have both our names on it.

We have our own insurances through our employers and therefore are not sharing the same health insurance (this is expensive and would cost us $600 extra a month in premium so I would not do it just to prove our marriage is real).

We only had ONE tax return filing jointly, because other years we had more refunds filing separately. Again, I believe that if the marriage is real, you do what is best for your finances, not to prove anything to anyone.

We, however, have a lot of joint debt (haha) from our mortgage and two new cars that we bought right after the wedding, and we go on A LOT of long vacations (one trip every 2-3 months) and I keep all the boarding passes and cruise documentation with our names on it. I probably sent about 5 pictures with the package to backup the trips we took. One of them was actually our destination wedding picture being published in a wedding magazine.

They don't want or need too much. Quality over quantity.

Please what documents did you exactly submit? How long did it take for you to get approval

I did not send in anything that I had already submitted with the I-485 in 2015.

In summary, I sent the following:

1. Tax return filed in 2016 (even though we filed separately)

2. Tax return filed in 2017 (filed jointly)

3. Home warranty contract

4. Mortgage statements/deed and homeowner's insurance

5. Car loan statements/registrations/insurances for two cars

6. Personal property tax bills in both names

7. Reservation confirmations and boarding passes for 6 vacation trips in 2016 and 2017

8. A few pictures from our trips and our wedding and a printout of the online magazine it was published on (we had our wedding ceremony 15 months after the actual marriage date)

9. Pet insurance for our two dogs with both our names

10. Home improvement loan in both names

Submitted in July 2017, approved in June 2018.
