K1 Visa:Fiance is 2 months pregnant is there an alternative to taking the Chest X-ray during her medical?

We recently found out that we are expecting a child.  She is about to have her medical exam and the chest x-ray is a big concern for us.  Is there an alternative solution to the chest x-ray? What about the IGRA? With all the joy came the realization that she might have the baby overseas by herself... is their anything I can do? (note:of course I will go there but can't be there for everything...I will miss all the steps in her pregnancy while I'm in the US) pls help!

They will protect her with a lead apron.  

 

Plenty of radiation when flying also, should you want to be very prudent.

I feel comfortable somewhat 60/40 about it, but if the woman doesn't feel comfortable with it then I will respect her wishes.... we have been waiting for so long we thought we can go through her pregnancy process together.

They're doctors and medical professionals. They won't do anything to endanger the fetus. During the x-ray, if that's the route they recommend, she will have a lead apron and it will fully protect the baby. X-rays aren't as harmful as they once were. A low dose of x-rays, similar to that with a single x-ray, hasn't proven to have issues even during pregnancy. But again, a lead apron will protect the fetus and her reproductive organs.

You can also delay the medical and interview until after the pregnancy, contact the diplomatic mission where the interview will be held to let them know.
