Anyone have a sense of wait times to get an appointment in Mumbai consulate for consular processing IR-5 interviews? Also, any advice for the actual interview experience and expediting the process?

My parent's application priority date is June 1, 2018. Our cases (for both my parents) were sent from USCIS to NVC in mid & end of Jan 2019 respectively. Their cases were marked "Documentarily Qualified" by NVC on April 29, 2019 & May 6, 2019. It's been an arduous waiting game at each step of the process. It appears we're close to the end of the journey, but there seems to be no update from Mumbai consulate and no way to know when my parents would be called for an interview. Anyone knows the wait times in Mumbai consulate?

I called NVC about this as well. After days of trying, I finally got through but got the standard reply "no way to tell". They suggested emailing them if I have a legitimate expedite request but looking online at possible reasons (https://www.uscis.gov/forms/how-make-expedite-request) I didn't feel I had one (other than, hey, I'd love my parents to be closer to me asap. haha)

I’m so sad to hear that- my parents case was documentarily qualified on May 28th. So looks like I’ll be waiting a lot longer than you :(

will you be going for your parents interview to Mumbai ? What have you heard about interview experiences at Mumbai particularity for parents ?
