Hi, 

 

I received the letter from DOS recommendation the 19 of April.

 

By now, I still haven't received anything from USCIS, and I do not know how to check if they received my case form DOS.

I am outside the US right now so I cannot call the free toll number written in the website. The one working abroad gives only automated answers. I still not have a case number from USCIS since i din't receive their notice of action...

 

Is it normal to take that long? I read that usually you receive the notice of action within few days from the DOS letter... it has been almost one month with no news and I am a bit worried....

If you are speaking of a recommendation from your consulate to Wash.for waiver entry that can

take a few weeks to months...if the CO recommended it , keep praying those usually are favorable

but there's no garantee

Hi! thanks for your reply.

 

My consulate alredy sent the no objection statement to DOS and DOS already expressed favorable recommendation for my case and sent all docs to USCIS. But USCIS  never sent me a notification of action(letter received from DOS) and so I don' have a USCIS case number.....And I don't know how to follow up and check my case from abroad since i can't call USCIS from Italy....

Hi! 

In the end i e-mailed the vermont service center in late june. They answered almost 1 month after giving me a case number. 2 days later i reiveved the waiver on the mail! 

So I suggest to write a few mail to vermont service center saying you didnt receive the case number and ask for it :)
