Hello everyone,

Have a question for getting driver license, hope you guys please to help me,

I passed the Driver License test in the last month, and, last week, I went to DMV in Kansas to get the Driver License, but, They couldnt allow me to get that, they wanted to verify my immigration status, it's still with EAD card, although, I received the Conditional Green Card ( 2 years ) in January. They gave me The Save Verification Case number. I dont understand what does that case number mean? What should I do now?

Hope you guys can help me with this case

Hope to see the receive from everyone

I'm waiting for your answers,

If you have your green card now then that is what you use to verify your status. Once your green card is issued your EAD is no longer required. The EAD is only a temporary authorization until your receive your GC.

So, what should I do now to get the Driver License with The Save Case that DMV gave me?

When you went to the DMV, did you show them your Green Card or your EAD? You were supposed to show them your Green Card.

Last week, I went to DMV and They gave me the Save Verification Number to follow up the update of status. And I see The Status rightnow is " Returned to the Legency "

So, what can I do now?

You didn't answer my question. When you went to the DMV, did you show them your EAD card or your Green Card?

I'm pretty sure they are now checking your identity. This can take a few weeks. After you check out to be ok you will get your card sent to your house. You should have gotten a temporary drivers license to show that you passes the tests but are waiting on your license. At least that's how they do it in Indiana.

When a non-immigrant applicant for a driving license appears at a participating state’s DMV and submits a driving license application, one of the documents and information being checked is the valid immigration status of the applicant.    Among other processing steps, the DMV clerk would input the applicant’s information into SAVE and SAVE would provide the government’s response with respect to status, validity and allow the DMV to make a determination whether or not the applicant is eligible for a driving license (or other benefit sought).
