Our Namecheck started on Oct. 8th, 2003

My bad! The signature is correct. 10-08-2004 is the start of our Namecheck!

2003 or 2004...far to long anyway.

Yes it is. I see your timeline is almost equal to ours. Good luck!

Filed for I-485 AOS 7-12-04

File went to FBI for Name Check on 10-08-2004

AOS interview 2-16-2006

Told that AOS approved "Pending Name Check"

Refiled for EAD 12-12-2006

EAD approved 3-04-2007

I-131-AP filed 2-18-2007

I have written both Senators of my state with no luck.

I have written my district congressman with no luck.

They all say it is out of their hands.

I even wrote GW Bush a letter asking for help , but got no reply.

Nov 12: AOS prints taken

2006, 2007, 2008, 2009:

Info-Pass officials will say only that "other authorities" are handling our case; we eventually got our Senator's office involved
Spring 2009: A letter arrives, saying his 2005 fingerprints have expired and need to be updated. We head down to Indy and get his prints redone.
June 2009: We FINALLY get the AOS interview letter just shy of FOUR YEARS since submission of AOS application...

July 2009: after the interview, his 10-year Green Card arrives. Alle-freaking-luia.

Security checks have no time limit so there is no timeframe. Depends on the number of checks and some are cleared early but they expire before the others ever get approved and are reordered. I am in checks and you will just have to wait the processing out. Pray for patience and good luck.

Mary

Administrative Review/Processing is a different procedure than this thread describes. This is for stateside namechecks for the purpose of Adjusting Status. Best suggestion for you would be to find the Islamabad thread in the Embassy section of VJ. (Mary who you are quoting frequents that thread also). Best place to call to find status would be the DOS as the FBI does not answer public queries.
