Our congressman liason is almost "rude" to the point we are bothering him. Did you apply only to the congressman in you local area Laura and Mark.I want as many of our elected to help us out at this point!!

Oct 2005 was our interview.

Our US Representative Hoekstra's local Michigan office was most helpful for us. The liason has frequent and direct phone contact with USCIS in Detroit and she was able to help sort things out for us. And she did it with the courtesy and sympathy we deserved.

Apparently there were some clerical errors to our file (THEIR errors by the way) way back in Vancouver at our K-1 interview. Those errors cause the computer to spit out our file during processing and once it landed in someone's pile, it took much longer to process by hand.

I hope you can find the support you need to help you through the maze. Be patient...

Well, I offered up my congrats in the other thread, but I'll add 'em here again!

AND I'd just LOVE to add...................

Think I'd get roundly flamed if I told all these people in the 'filer' threads that they are really 'petitioners' and not filers?.................... :P

Many thanks JH!!

That is great news for you and Ali. You can see from our timeline...after the second Biometrics, it was not long...relatively speaking that is :)

We will keep our fingers crossed that your timeline continues to mirror ours and you have your card before the end of summer.

The card was a Permanent Resident Card but it still needs to be renewed in 2 years. Then if we understand things correctly, a year after that we can begin naturalization. Ohhh boy...another journey into the USCIS maze.

All the best JH... :dance::dance:
