We got an RFE on November 17 about my husbands name not matching in a document, it was because we used his middle name in one entry and not used it for another, we send the new documents in the address showed on the RFE on November 30, FedEX shows it was delivered and signed for on December 1. Since then I have had no status update, no notice from uscis that they have received my new documents, in the case status it still shows that I was send an RFE, is this normal? Shouldn't I have gotten an update by now? I send a case inquiry last week but it says it is currently not assigned for processing.

The online case status isn't always up to date, and service requests aren't always looked at. I would call USCIS to make sure they received your RFE response and are processing your case again.

I did call them yesterday but that didn't do any good, all I got is that they are very busy and they probably haven't gotten to looking at my RFE yet, no other useful information, they also said to wait 15-30 days for the inquiries to be assigned to someone. I did call the 1 (800) 375-5283 number, should I call directly at the office that is handling my case?

This website has more up to date information then the app or case tracker: https://myaccount.uscis.dhs.gov/

After creating your profile, go to " my account" then "add paper case" and you add all your receipt numbers, hopefully you will see the status of the RFE there.

Thank you so much, I tried through that website and it says they have received it and are working on the case again, I can finally relax a bit.
