I had My Oath Ceremony on August 27th, in Detroit, I registered to vote at the ceremony too, 5 weeks later I went to SOS to see what the status of voter registration was as I haven't heard anything,

They checked their "SAVE" system which is telling them my case with immigration is showing no0t complete... OMG!!! I have a certificate to say different but the system says NO!

I checked the old & the new system( Actually not certain which is which, to be honest ) on my account at USCIS website, one says "Certificate of Naturalization  was issued",  The other says, "We scheduled your naturalization ceremony

So NO VOTE, no updated SSN, No passport...

I've called I've email & now I have to go with an infopass appointment on the 18th, I am so VEXED!!!!"

Did you check with your local clerk's office (not the SOS)?  When my wife was naturalized, she also filled out the voter registration and after 5-6 weeks, she had not received a notice, so she went to our Township clerk and sure enough, she was actually registered, so she was able to vote in the primary in August.  I don't understand your no passport comment, if you have a naturalization certificate, you can get a passport.  My wife got her's in a few days.

No worries.  Hopefully you are registered and will be able to vote in the November election.  I know Katya was very proud to call herself a first time voter in August.

Good Luck!

We shall see,..

But when I check the Voter roll it says I'm not registered, I was looking forward to voting too it's been 6 weeks now since my Oath & voter registration...

It's crazy..

The SOS tried to register me and said they couldn't because my immigration status hasn't been updated, even though I showed them my Naturalization Certificate... The Clerk's office is my last hope, closed today though, tomorrow is the last day to register!

Hello -

My n400 filing date is Aug 10 and i am hoping to get interview around Jan-2019.

For those who are filing based on 5 year rule, Did you happen to get last 5 years tax return transcripts?.

From IRS-Online - I was only able to download last 4 year transcripts, also i am not able to select beyond last 4 yrs.

How do i get the last 5th year tax transcript, replies appreciated.

I filed under the five year rule. You can download the first four years Tax Transcripts and for the last one, The Tax Account as the Transcript will not be available. They are all found in the same place.

I had my interview today, and it went well. Same for my wife :)

i asked the officer about the oath hoping he will make me pick a date, he said he is forwarding the application to his boss for final approval and i was handed a paper. He suggested to wait around or less 2 weeks for the approval to be mailed, and then may be another 2 weeks for the oath. So roughly 1 month. (according to him)

let s stay tuned and keep every one else posted here

Good luck everyone

Congrats James. I was approved too today. Got text later to indicate I was put in line for Oath. Tried to ask the IO officer about Oath and was told they don't handle scheduling of Oath. They did not give any timeline.

Congrats

Thanks so much.

I actually waited 8 weeks for my Oath Ceremony because it was a judicial ceremony, as I changed my last name finally to my married name. Not 100 % sure why I had to do the judicial one to be honest as I thought my marriage certificate would be enough.

Im sure it won’t take as long for you. Congratulations to you too x
