Today I was notified by the Embassy in Kiev that my finance can schedule her interview.  We have the DS-160 for her an her son ready to submit.  My question is regarding the Consular Fee.  Can I pay this fee from the USA or does she have to pay it in Ukraine?

She has to pay it in Ukraine at any Raiffeisen Bank Aval branch. The deposit slip is generated when she submits the form, so she'll need to print it out and take to the bank.

This is from the U.S Embassy in Ukraine website: https://ua.usembassy.gov/visas/immigrant-visas/fiancee-visa/how-to-apply/

 

Important note:  Please be informed that you will not be able to schedule your visa appointment until you pay your $265 visa application fee and obtain a visa confirmation receipt from the bank.

  • Print the following document: “Deposit Slip – $265 MRV Fee”, take this deposit slip to your nearest Raiffeisen Bank Aval branch and pay your $265 visa application fee. You will be provided a payment confirmation receipt by the bank. It takes approximately three to five hours for your payment transaction to become active.

 

 

It would have to paid in  Ukraine !
