I think if you call them...it will probably make you more frustrated and make you want to beat the ####### out of those BASTARDS!!!!!!!!! :devil: :devil: :devil: :devil:

Thaistyle, I called CSC today and asked them where my RFE letter was. The guy told me I should have received it already and that he would have another one mailed to me today AND HE WOULD FAX ME A COPY WITHIN 24 HOURS!!!!! If you haven't done so already, call them and get the letter faxed to you. We can't do anything until we get the letter and the info needed off the letter. Good luck!

Bundy

I'm going to wait for several more hours to see if it does comes in the mail. If not...then I on it. Thanks Bundy...

Thanks Alane! :) That is very encouraging. I guess I should call to find out if mine's been assigned yet. I'll have to wait for my lunch break to do it. Thanks for sharing!

I got a woman officer---I told her I was calling from Michigan and we filed our application in May and I just wondered if she could tell me if my case had been assigned. She looked it right up for me. I did ask her if she could check to see which officer had the case and if it was actually be adjucated, and she said (very nice) that there are too many officers to do that, but I called her my USCIS angel (choke) and thanked her for the information she was able to give me. She said she would always be glad to give me whatever information she could. So000000 hopefully it s just a a few more days or maybe even minutes!!!!!! :innocent::innocent::innocent: Encouraged and Patient, Alane and Ramzis

According to the defined process I read if they truely assigned an officer and the officer is actually working it you should have a touch when you check on-line USCIS (Chris). This is because they put a bar code on each package and when it is assigned or changes hands, it gets scanned and this scanning generates a touch. Did you and afterforever have touches today or recently? I hope so and wish you both the best of luck.

Many people did not get a touch before they were approved. I did not get touched yet but I expected one because I called today. Ramzis maybe your touch was because of your telephone call but I hope it was more than that. I hope we get approved very very soon. The person I spoke with at CSC checked his computer and told me that my case had been assigned on 10/15. Maybe it has not been scanned yet.

Now I wonder if I should worry :blink:

I got a little paranoid today so I called CSC back to get more info. Luckily I spoke with another cool guy. He told me that when the petitions come out of the mail room where they are stored, they are assigned to a supervisor. The supervisor then assigns the cases to her workers on her team. I had him check his computer again without telling him the date I was given earlier and he told me that it shows my case had been assigned to a supervisor on October 15 (this was the same date I was told from the first guy).

According to this guy, the computer shows the identification number to a workstation where the petition is located, which in my case tells him it with a supervisor. He told me that the supervisors do not keep the files on their desk long but he could not give me a time frame when it would be actually assigned to a worker.

Hopefully it will be very very soon and not weeks. I am close but the wait continues.

Okay..my lunch break is over so I'm here to report my findings...

I spoke with a really nice man and told him that I was concerned about my petition because I had not heard anything since I called to have a new NOA1 sent out due to not receiving the first one. I was hoping he could tell me whether or not my petition had gotten lost in the shuffle with them being so overwelmed recently. He put me on hold for a couple of minutes then came back and said "don't worry ma'am, your case was assigned to an officer yesterday on the 16th and although it doesn't show that a decision has been made yet, you should be hearing something soon." I thanked him for his kindness and told him that he just made my day and that I hope he has a great day. He told me to have a nice day as well and I said thanks to him, I would be!

YEA!!! :dance::dance::dance:

At least a feel a little more relieved...we should be hearing something soon!! I so appreciate everyone here..it's nice to be able to share this long long journey with others that know how I feel. :thumbs:
