Same here. My interview was canceled Nov. 2017 and did not receive any notice.  We went to local office for interview and was told they did not have my file yet and have to wait for reschedule.

Today I  went to local office and was told they are doing security check for my case  and have no idea how long it will take.

So sad....

I am not sure what it is. They said it is normal check like others.

My EAD has been expired. I tried to renew but was rejected because no submit fee. I do not know why since this renewal should be free.

And yesterday I sent document again and see what will happen

I was told by uscis customer Service,  that I have to renew mine 90 days before it expires.... but from what you said, you applied for the renewal on August and this past week just approved it??? WOW..... did you pay any renewal fee??? Also I remember you mentioned before that you just had your interview recently, after canceling the first one, once you get your GC , you won't need your EAD anymore.

  • 10 months later...

My wife has been waiting on the interview since Feb. 13th 2017 and they finally sent a notice for an appointment on Oct. 30th 2018 then cancelled without reason 2 weeks later.

We are in Houston TX and there is only 1 USCIS field office in all of Harris County. It has now been over 90 days and no reschedule. Next month will be 24 months since beginning the

very expensive process. Meanwhile the her work authorization permit expires 2-3 times along with her driver license and that is about $500 every time.
