I am of the opinion that it cannot be for interview because such a mass-transfer is usually a procedural shift. Unless I-751 interviews have become mandatory now.

No it did not!

In a cases status bar, it still says "We have received your case at Local office ETC" but in a case history, it states"We will prepare your case for an officer etc."

I get the same message too. It's a standard status notification but we shall see how things will unfold in next couple of weeks, thanks.

I just got my case transferred to my local office today, I am Happy to know they are doing something to speed the process I will try to call tomorrow and try to get further info. Let’s hope ho

Are you guys checking the receipt number of the extension letter or the one indicated on your biometrics? I read somewhere that only the latter on the biometrics shows valid data. For instance mine says validation error and only the biometrics receipt ID (CR89) serves any valid info.

Check the one on your extension letter, that’s the receipt number that’s updating office transfers!

I already did, and says validation error. If you look at the letter, it says "upon receipt of your ASC appointment notice... you can find your application number at the top of the ASC appointment notice"

 

It also claims you need to look for CRI89 not i751. You guys are looking at the wrong receipt number.

Hi there! My case got transered to local office too!

From what i learned, they do workload tranfers in between CERVICE centers, but if it goes to local office it means its going to be scheduled for an interview.

Correct me if im wrong.

Now local offices have to find time to fit in i 751 cases for interviews, who knows how long that would take. Probably a good news for ppl from small towns, but LA Miami NYC im scared to even think how much that would prolong the process. I thought waiting at CSC is bad ebough, but this...

The application number from the extension letter previously generated a not found error ... until the last few days ... now many of them are showing case transfers to local offices. The other (CRI-89) number remains unchanged. That's the case for mine anyway.

Don't you think it's strange how all of these hundreds of cases made it to all these local offices (all over the country) within a few days of each other?

But why does the extension letter claims CRI89 to be the right platform to track the case? Does anyone know the update standards in this process? i485 was a much easier path to follow.

I am August 2017 filer at VSC, Case is transferred to local office
