."Hello everyone,

In our situation, we have not yet received a biometrics letter and our case number does not show up in the USCIS Case Status Online tool, yet.  We plan to call a tier two person to find out the case number we can look up, but until then, I was randomly looking up case numbers around our number.  The only message I was seeing was "Case Was Received At My Local Office" with the details of "On February 25, 2018, we received your Form I-751, Petition to Remove Conditions on Residence, at your local office."  The next steps say, "We will prepare your case for officer review.  If we need more information, we will notify you."

The thing is that I only came across this message - no other messages and the dates were either February 24, 2018 or February 25, 2018.  Does this seem unusual to anyone?  I am wondering if this is greater scrutiny given to case (which is great) and perhaps more field office visits?  I seen one experience of someone having a home visit (seemed unexpected) and the officers mentioned the field visits they must perform now is much greater than before!  Maybe this is a change in the way the cases are handled?

What are your thoughts?  I think more home visits would be a good thing - especially if cases can get worked on a more personal level. To us, we care more about the naturalization part than the ROC, but hey, whatever works!

I was trying to check my wife's status today but the only receipt number I had with me was the receipt from when we changed our address last November 2017.

I entered this number and received the same message you did: "On February 26, 2018, we received your Form I-751, Petition to Remove Conditions on Residence, Receipt Number WAC##########, at your local office.  If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/address change to give us your new mailing address."

My guess is their computer tagged additional information onto my I-175 info to my change of address form and that like you my case has now been delivered to our local office??? Although I am wondering now if "my local office" means they have only just now received my change of address from November since we submitted our I-175 packet just over 1 year ago and you submitted your I-175 packet about the same time we submitted our change of address.

I have been noticing in general USCIS has been trying to catch-up on applications to some degree by not being more than 1 year behind on processing certain applications in this case our removal of conditions. I do not think it is to do a surprise visit although who knows, maybe since we did the change of address so close to when a decision was to be made that your guess could be correct.

I filled my I751 on Jan 2nd 2018 and today checked my NOA number which previously showed nothing but (case does not exsist) it now shows the above message that my I751 has been received at my local office. I filled with CSC and phoned about not receiving bio's after 30 days last month, I think cases at CSC are being transfered.

Hi Guys,

the same happened to me. In August 2017 after submitting all documents we received this message: "On August 4, 2017, we received your Form CRI-89, Petition to Remove Conditions of Permanent Resident Status Received, Receipt Number WAC*********, and sent you the receipt notice that describes how we will process your case. Please follow the instructions in the notice. If you do not receive your receipt notice by September 3, 2017, please call Customer Service at 1-800-375-5283. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address."

We did the biometrics and after we haven't had any update, until now: "On February 26, 2018, we received your Form I-751, Petition to Remove Conditions on Residence, Receipt Number WAC********, at your local office. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address."

Does anyone have any idea what does that mean?

The whole process is very confusing and frustrating!

Just check my same WAC########## (which now I see is the same as on the 1 year extension letter) and instead of showing this:

"On February 26, 2018, we received your Form I-751, Petition to Remove Conditions on Residence, Receipt Number WAC##########, at your local office.  If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/address change to give us your new mailing address."

Only the date changed and now it shows:

"On March 04, 2018, we received your Form I-751, Petition to Remove Conditions on Residence, Receipt Number WAC##########, at your local office.  If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/address change to give us your new mailing address."

My guess is either they are working on the case or their computer is just periodically updating the case info. I see the 1 year extension letter has the green card valid until early May 2018,  so wondering if this means my case will not be dealt with until next month?

Dear All,

I applied for 10 years green card after having 2 years of temp green card by getting married to my wife.

And joined national guard but because of green card policy i could not get in to BCT yet but still in Army status.

So, I filed for 10 years one last July.2017 and recently 04/09/2018 i got the same notice as all of you guys. I even asked to my lawyer, what is going on since it says received at local office.

He was not sure if it was USCIS mistake or not so i called USCIS customer support and had conversation with them about this topic. oh by the way, my file sent to Vermont office and went down to local in Queens

USCIS agents said " This is new procedures that USCIS recently doing" , " Once its reviewed at main office  (like Vermont, California offices etc), they send them out to their local office to finishing up or have an interview at local office if needed.

Therefore, it is good news for all of you guys and myself to see something moved. However, he said every local office has their own phase so he strongly suggested to make infopass account and make an appointment with local office agent directly.

Local agent will explain and show your current status.

Hope I get something soon and hope all of you guys get something soon too!
