Denver police union president ignores his bosses to tell Congress about immigration policy that has made “a city that is much less safe”

I would be in favor of amnesty for all the dreamers unless they have a criminal record and no one else. This would have to be in exchange for measures to stop illegal immigration that are actually effective. I am not in favor of just granting amnesty to anyone who was able to cross the border because that sends the wrong message.

Nothing has changed, and nothing will change until a bipartisan approch is followed, otherwise we will just have the same nonsense as we have now.

Maybe they do. You just have not provided anything that might support such a claim or how a wall might prevent them from coming.

Okay, then require everyone seeking employment to have a tax file number that. In Australia, you cannot get work without a proper tax file number, and you you need to show proof that you are entitled to one. E.g. passport, visa etc.

You assume too much.

When you leave things wide open, assumptions will happen.  I am not really sure what bi-partisanship has to do with making effective laws, there are a lot of useless laws passed by a bi-partisan congress.  Regardless, the border must be supecured first period.  Anything short of that with amnesty as a carrot will result in a flood.

As to proof, aren’t there several drug dealers that come across the border regularly?
