Hello everyone,

First of all thanks for all the posts, its been a real help to read the blogs here. I recently got married to a US citizen and filed I 130 along with other doc. Sorry if this has been discussed before but I am a little tense about the situation.
I have filed an asylum case in 2016 Nov and have my work permit. No interview in asylum case yet only fingerprints. I got married on 25 OCT 2017 and filed I 130 on December 15 2017 with adjustment of Status. Today my Wife's friend, who got a green card via I 130 informed me that I should have Waited to file I 130 as early filing might slow down the process and we might have to got Through stroked interview. I attached a lot of family Pic with my case, flying together to East coast from Cali and visiting her family, hotel stay receipts, other family events together, cards, joint bank account which was joint 6 months before wedding, joint insurance, e-mails from her family about me and with me etc. Now I am thinking of sending additional evidence after filing Joint Taxes.

The problem in my case is: Pending asylum, My wife is nervous of interviews(from childhood) and early filing of I 130(according to my friend). Please let me know if I can do anything else in your opinion.

Your Help Is appreciated.

Definitely something to discuss with your Lawyer.

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”

Definitely a case for a good lawyer.

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”
