Hello VJ members,

My wife had her CR1 interview in January 2018. Given 221-g asking for joint sponsor. Submitted all the required documents.

After the consulate receives those, they sent her another letter asking for following:

1. Signed statement from petitioner (myself) when, where, how did you meet, who introduced you, plane tickets & passport stamps.

2. Same signed statement from beneficiary (my wife)

3. Signed statement of all my education history, credits earned, degree earned

4. Signed description of any paid work done since my arrival in 2005

5. Statement detailing how, when, where I met my Ex and How it ended in divorce.

Basically, all the questions that might be asked during an interview but didn't And now asking for them as signed statements. Difficult to fathom sometimes embassy's functioning.

I came to US on student visa in 2005, got married '12  then divorced '16. Married my current wife in '16. Filed for CR1
