Good day, all.

I've applied for an tourist visa on 6th of September i sent my passport by aramex because i had the visa before and i travelled the last 5 years over 25 times and then on the 27th of September they sent to me my passport back and they have told me i've to do an interview, after i did an interview they had given to me a yellow paper with my case number ....7th of december the embassy sent an email to me that i've been over 90 days.... and then they replied that i've under AP and we can't speed up your case....

What gives? Why is this happening? Is anyone else facing this issue with the US Embassy in Cairo?

AP is quite normal.

Background checks.

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”

Mm, depends on what they were.

how long? Tourism or business? We had people in my old company who’d visit the US at least once a quarter for client meetings, plus one or two conferences a year. Once a quarter for a week for documented purposes like that wouldn’t be an issue. On the other hand if it’s very frequent “holidays” it would certainly raise questions.

I used to do 4 or 5 trips a year, people I worked with did a lot more.

Yeah depends on what was discussed in the interview, and the length/purpose of previous visits.
