I am a US Citizen and petitioned my husband thru K1 Visa, I know he is not eligible to apply to any government assistance. We have a son who is a US Citizen and he is okay to apply for medicaid but their asking for my husband's info even though he's not applying for the insurance, they want it for total household income purposes. Is that gonna be a problem? Anyone had a same situation ? I don\t want to take a risk to apply a medicaid for my son then my husband will get in trouble. Please help what I need to do. Thanks

Your son as a USC is entitled to medicaid if he qualifies for it. Yes, they need your husbands info to process it and see if you are eligible. This has no impact on your husband. You need to give them all the info they require and just make sure no benefits are issued to your husband.

In order for your son to qualify for Medicaid they need to gather the family information. Your husband should not get in trouble for this.

They ask these questions for every family that would apply since it is a government program your son who have to qualify for.
