Hello,

My fiancé is Egytian and works in Bolivia. This May he will be heading to Egypt for 2 months to visit his family. We would like to submit our application by February, which means that the NOA2 and packet from the embassy won't arrive to his address in Bolivia on time before he gets to travel home.

My question is, does my fiancé need a letter from the embassy in order to get his police certificate from the country(ies) he's resided in for 6 months or more? Or can he just get it while he's there without getting the packets with the request from the embassy?

Thank you!

1. He won't get an NOA2 mailed to him. The petitioner gets all correspondence.

2. No you can police clearance anytime for any reason. Is he doing his interview in Bolivia or Egypt?

Remember it's taking about 6-7 months from time of petition to NOA2 at current time.

6-7 months just for the NOA2?! Wow... Oh well.

And he will be doing the interview in Bolivia since he is working there.

So basically, he can get the police clearance from Egypt before I get the NOA2, and use that police clearance to hand in at the interview, correct?
