I am seeking information about RFIE turnaround time. If you can please provide an answer to either of the following two questions it would be greatly appreciated.

  • How long did it take to get a received notice from USCIS after mailing your RFIE package?
  • How long on average does it take to get a received notice from USCIS after mailing the RFIE package?

Thank you.

We called USCIS and they told us can take up to 60 days to update the tracker. :(

It's a bit unsettling. I will be fine once they say "RFIE received". So you called them and they would not tell you if it was received?

Exactly, but we talked to tier 1... we are going to wait another week, if nothing happen then we will try to talk to tier 2

My wife spoke to USCIS today. Three things that they told her:

  1. There are multiple offices that receive and process RFIEs. Some are fast, some are slow and some are average.
  2. All offices have 60 days to respond.
  3. If they do not respond in 60 days, visit the local USCIS office and inquire why.

I'm still waiting for USCIS to acknowledge they received the RFIE. Nothing on the online status checker or in the mail.
