Hello,

I am hoping someone can help me with my situation and question here.

I am married with a Filipino that became a US Citizen about 30+ years ago,  he petitioned me via K1 visa, we've been married for 5 years and we are filing a divorce next year, we have 1 child,

We are married here in the US and in the Philippines. My question here is, if everything went well during the divorce process here in the US, is that gonna be recognize in the Philippines as well,

since we both are a US Citizen. I know annulment process is crazy in the Philippines and I need to get more info here if I could.

Please advise if someone knows anything about my situation.

Thank you so very much. God bless!!!

Being you are a USC your divorce may be recognized in the Philippines, it does require a court process to complete the recognition.   I don't know all the details.

Good catch, I forgot to mention that.

For sure she should have her husband file for the divorce if possible.   She is a USC (foreigner) also, but it will keep it easily if he does the initial filing to get it recorded in the Philippines.

@MissyleiDid you complete your dual citizenship?
