F4 processing time

Hi Everyone,

 

I am new to this forum. My PD is 2009 ( India). my question is that if I look at the historical data, in 2010 it was taking 8 years ( minimum so far ) for the F4 visa approval and now its 14-15 years. Has anyone any insights from the news or some predictions, how the movement is going to be for the next 2-3 years. Is there any source out there which gives some accurate prediction.

There's no way to know what will happen in the future regarding a preference category...even USCIS and the DOS don't know. Sometimes their own estimates are wrong and the PD goes backwards.

A rough estimate is around 4 more years. Could be a year or 2 sooner, or could be several years later.

This year F4 India only moved by some months... I would expect another 7-10 years

Hmm..yeah, the most recent several months are looking pretty dreary. I will revise my ~4 more years to closer to 7.

Not just F4. When we got our F3 priority date of Dec 2008 it was expected to take about 10 years. Current PD on F3 is only Sep 05 now though so somewhere along the way it slowed down by over 2 years.
