Sent out AOS packet, noticed some mistakes afterwards

Hello all,

I am a USC sponsoring my f1 wife for a green card. I recently sent out our packet (i130, i485, i864, i131, i765) and after reviewing the copy I made, I noticed that I made a few errors. Now naturally it's making me pretty nervous, can anyone tell me what the likely consequences are? Here is what I noticed:

1) on my i864, part 6 item 18 says that only the previous year is required, so I only attached my 2016 w2 and tax return. On part six item 19, I likewise only filled in my income for 2016. However after further review, I've noticed that item 19 doesn't have the same "only previous year required" language as part 18. Is this a potential issue? And if so is it a rejection worthy issue or a request for further evidence issue?

2) I also noticed this on the uscis website:

"personal checks must be pre-printed with the name of the bank and the account holder. Also, the account holder’s address and phone number must be pre-printed, typed or written in ink on the check. All checks must be typed or written in ink."

Not sure how I missed it but long story short, the checks I sent do NOT have my name, address or phone number preprinted. Again, how serious is this? Not a big deal? RFE? Rejection?

Thanks in advance.

Based off my personal knowledge & research:

1. RFE

2. Rejection notice

If they went with rejection notice due to personal check issue, they will likely return the whole packet for re-submission.

Thanks for the quick response!

Do you have any experience with how long it takes to receive a rejected package?

The check I did I think was called cashier's check. I'm not really sure if there's a difference but anyways. My point is: on my checks only my name was written. And I mean written, not printed. No address, no phone number. I have missed that requirement too.

I just got my email and text notifications last night so I guess they're not sending my application back to me.

I guess you'll have to wait and see!

Good luck!
