Hello Everyone,

Just found out that our K-1 application posted ready on the NVC website, so I assume it is at the consulate in Ho Chi Minh.  I want to make this go as fast and smooth as possible, so I am asking for your advice.

We have completed the following:

online DS-160 for her and her daughter

I-134 with paystubs and IRS transcripts as well as employment letter on company letterhead.

Police Certificate #2

Divorce certificate for a previous marriage.

Copy of 129f

Blank Intent to marry form that we will freshly sign prior to interview.

Passports have plenty of validity left.

Copies of photos together and chat logs.

the only thing we need that I can think of is paying the visa fee via USTraveldocs.  Does the account have to be in her name or mine?

Do I (she) have to wait for packet 3 before setting up the interview?  Or can this be expedited somehow?

Anything I missed or can do to make this go faster?  I'm worried about the consulate shutting down during APEC.

Any and all suggestions are welcome.

Thank you so much

Mike & Tuyen

P.S. I will be there with her for the interview.

I would wait a week and contact the US Consulate in Saigon to confirm that they have your fiancee's daughter in their system. We had this happened to us. We filed for my then-fiancee and her daughter but when the US Consulate received the I-129F petition from the NVC, they did not have the daughter's record in their system. We had to mail them the daughter's birth certificate, her DS160 confirmation number, along with all required documents specified in Packet 3 to have her name added into their system.

Also, the ustraveldocs account has to be in your fiancee's name, if I remember correctly.
