My wife was just approved for her conditional residency.  We should receive her card in 3 weeks.  My question is for my work I travel to other countries periodically.  One of which is Canada.  How will she be treated when trying to enter Canada?  As a Colombian, or US citizen? She would only have her Colombian passport, her original US Visa, and now her Green Card showing her conditional residency.

She would enter Canada, or any other country, as a Colombian with a Colombian passport. However, having LPR status with a green card does allow easier entry into other countries, but the visitation rules for US LPR's can vary from country to country. The green card doesn't confer US citizen status to her.

FYI, my own wife is Colombian and she has LPR status with a green card. The two of us traveled to Canada last year and she passed through passport control easily with a Colombian passport and LPR status.

If you gonna fly to or through Canada, as a LPR she will need to apply for  eTA (electronic Travel Authorization) Takes 5 minutes and costs $7 ,  Canadian $ :)  Valid for 5 years.

Ahh, we entered Canada on a ferry from Seattle to Victoria. I don't recall needing the eTA.

Yeah, that's true. eTA is only required if you  gonna use Canadian Airport.

If you drive, or travel by train, boat  - than you don'r need it. Just your green card and  passport :)
