Hi everyone

I called NVC again this morning and still not entered in system to generate number.  I will call again Friday - that will be 7 weeks since they received our NOA-2s.

Fingers crossed!

Good luck. It is taking a long time. The lady I spoke to at NVC last week said they are receiving a lot more cases recently and are therefore backlogged. Thanks for keeping us updated. I will call later this week as well. I don't have much hope to hear before end of May or early June, but doesn't hurt to call once a week on the off-chance, does it?

I was told no later than 5/23.  But see my post on NVC 8 weeks to see what I gleaned this week from NVC.

We all need to check we are not affected by their ineptitude with a new computer software system, which doesn’t behave as the old one did and is causing delay issues.

i will be calling again every day until I get somewhere as I have been waiting over 8 weeks since NVC received our cases.

Hi - just FYI. I called NVC today (it is past 6 weeks from NVC received my mom's case on 9-April). Still not entered in the system, so no case number available yet. Dad's was received at NVC on 20-April. So expecting that to follow similar timeline for case #. Now that it is 6 weeks from receipt for my mom's case, I will call once every week. In the meantime, getting all docs ready. Mom's PCC is awaited (she had to renew her passport recently).

We got our case number two days ago!!  So that’s 5 weeks from when they said they received it, but 14 weeks from when we received NOA2!

ok, next challenge. I looked at the support for, that I am supposed to fill in and got very confused. I am sponsoring both my Mum and my Dad on 2 different petitions. Do I just complete one support form, or do I need to do both, but then counting members of household gets very confusing!  Anybody figured it out yet?

NOA2 16th Feb

Case received 23 April!

case number 27th May

Hi - congrats on getting the case number.

I am in the same situation as you. I have petitioned for both my mom and dad. As far as I have researched, I am going to fill in 2 separate I-864ez forms - one for mom and a separate one for dad. For IR5, each beneficiary has their own visa petition, so it is my understanding that each needs a separate form. Also, I-864ez has Part 2 for Beneficiary info and we can only put one name there. I have not checked I-864, so don't know about that. I believe that if you fill in I-864ez online version (I mean save the PDF on PC), the household size for you and beneficiary is already entered as 2 in 1a. Then you add any other applicable members.

Hope this helps. Keep us updated. Only way we can help each other.
