So I'm asking for a friend:

Nationality : Indian

Visa: L1-A

AOS: Filed in November 2016

Catagory: work sponsored EB-1

City: Houston

History

May: RFE received for medical. Medical submitted. USCIS acknowledged the same in June

So the question relates to the length of time for AOS approval or rejection. It is thought that EB-1 approvals progressed faster however he is close to a year since submission. Is this normal? If not, what should be his next step; infopass, contact senator's office?

thanks

Just to let you know that a fiar number of applications for AOS, ROC, and citizenship are swamped right now. So it still could take 12 months for approval right now. I would not contact anyone until November 2016.
