Had Interview - Status Check

Hello,

 

SusieQQ you have helped me in the past, well the interview took place in Uzbekistan, they kept the passport and told me to pick up after a week. I also have a current tourist visa for the USA in my passport and have been to the USA before and left within the time frame of the allowed stay.

 

My concern is DV visas must be issued by the 9/30, I hope they dont put me in AP. I have read this forum and many people are checking status. I went to this site and put in my case # but I dont get anything back with a result. Is it correct site and am I putting in correct case #  2017EUxxxxxxxx

or is it too soon to check status since I had the interview today?

 

Any insight regarding AP and status check is appreciated.

You need to leave the zeroes in the number out when using the status check (i.e. maximum 5 digits after the EU). The status should have been at "ready" if you had the interview.

 

just to double check, this is the interview that was originally scheduled by KCC, correct?

 

I have no idea about AP but usually you would have been told if you were being put on AP so you can probably assume all fine. Oh one thing - DON'T PANIC if you check and see AP immediately as this is the default status between "ready" and "issued" as well.  

 

Your tourist visa will be cancelled without prejudice when your DV visa is issued.

Thanks, leaving out the 0's worked. It is showing 'READY" and last date checked was the 9/20. I had the interview on 9/19.

 

The interview was scheduled by the KCC. After the interview they said your are approved and pick up your passport next week. 

 

I guess I will keep monitoring the CEAC site and look for the update and hopefully shows 'ISSUED" prior to pick up date.

Questions:  Shows "Ready" --- Why does it say -- "Your case is ready for your interview when scheduled at the U.S. Consular section.......".

 

I had the interview on the 19th and the case last updated was on the 20th? Also,  once the visa is prined the status will change to "ISSUED"?

It should - but updates are done manually by the embassy so it's possible someone is just tardy with the updating. Honestly, I don't think you need to worry about it.

If it shows "Administrative Processing" don't worry, usuelle it will disappear within one or two days to "issued" of everything went well during the interview.

I just checked and now it is showing from ready to "Administrative Processing" , I hope it is temporary, since only 7 business days left to issue the visa before the DV 2017 is finished. 

Interview went well and they gave a paper, written on "congratulation" and to pick up on the 26th of Sep.

Mine also switched to "AP" after "ready" for about 1 business day approx., than to "issued".

As both Adriano and I have said - that's quite normal. I'm waiting for the update to "issued"

Just wanted to close this topic, and update SusieQQQ and Adriano,

 

As you know the interview was on 09/19 and afterwards the online status from READY it went to AP and after 3 days today on 09/22 it shows ISSUED. However, they ask to come on 9/26 to pick up during interview. I am guessing visa is issued and they want me to come later due to scheduling, am I correct in assuming this?

Fantastic! You can call them and ask if you can fetch it earlier, or wait... I'm guessing they gave a later date just in case of delays. Awesome news, all the best for your new life in the US!

Hi guys congratulations for your visa jim, I would like to kno what is going on with our case we had the interview in may they required additional documents we boxed it in in june our case was AP for two weeks then it turn into ready on 13 june it remained ready without update until 16th of September but still ready 

Nothing changed until now ,we called and emailed the embassy but there is no answer what is going on with our case please help

I am so anxious cause am expecting a baby in December

Oh man.  I'm so sorry to tell you this but DV2017 ended 30 September. If you don't have your visa issued by now you've lost out on it. I don't know why the embassy hasn't answered you. If they had your passports there's a small chance they may have issued without calling you or updating the CEAC site but tiny chance. There were many reports that visas for AP and AOS were exhausted by 8 September- only those scheduled  for new interviews by KCC in September still had visas available after that. What embassy is KHT?

I don't know why they didn't contact us but it's have been very stressful these months since the executive order of president Trump although they said it doesn't apply to people who have been selected for this year I think it's the reason

I can't go through this again so I won't apply again.
