My dad applied for my mom for a us visa, I am a us citizen too, we all are except for my mom, she had her interview like two weeks ago, everything was alright but she unfortunately forgot a document that even wasn't that necessary but still they told her to sent it and said everything is fine you're okay just you have to send us that document and as soon as we get it we will send you your visa. We did as he told us to and send that document, her ceac status went to administrative processing and now when I checked again yesterday it said refused without any reason. Everything was fine how can it be refused???? I'm so in shock

Anyone any ideas

They are supposed to give you the reason for refusal. contact the embassy and ask.

Yes, do so but the website wouldn't give the reason.  That would come by mail with the passport.  Which document was missing?

IRS transcript tho we had the w2's and federal income papers, but I send the transcripts to them the other day so how can they refuse?  They told at the interview that I'm gonna get a visa everything was fine!  If it is refused god forbid then what?  What's the next step?

Transcripts are proof that you filed and are preferable to the tax return.

They wont inform you over telephone as the person over telephone has no knowledge about that. What you need to do is send an online inquiry. Visit this and send your question.

Weird trancripts r not required if u have tax returns paper and W2

In general, that is the guideline but Consular Officers can request anything they think they need to see.  If the visa applicant is a male from Pakistan it is almost certain there would be an extended (weeks to months) Administrative Processing (for additional background checks) after they have otherwise decided to issue the visa.

Again, if your visa has actually been refused AFTER the interview date, there will be a written notification giving at least a clue as to the reason.  If refused AT the interview, you get a written notice on the spot.
