Interview- Need help..Updating trips outside US

Hi All,

I finally have my interview scheduled after a gruelling 13 month wait since I applied (not sure why my background check too long, might be an IOE issue).  In the meantime I have made 13 overseas trips in these 13 months to meet my (now pregnant) fiance. Each trip lasted about 8-10 days for a total of 100 days outside the US.

I am going to be taking a print out detailing all these trips. Does the IO enter details about each trip into the system during the interview? I am just worried that with my luck (and the lucky no. 13 everywhere) they will take additional time to adjudicate my application because of these trips and not approve me on the spot . I am eager to file the  K1 for my fiance and USCIS really has me on the edge.

Appreciate any insights.

He may or he may not enter your trip into the system. No one can answer you the question if they recommend for approval your application or not, but you should not have to worry about it.

Requirements break down, since your trips were short so you have already met:

(1) Continuous Residence: No trips outside US for 6 months or longer.

Since you are applying under 5 years residency, I assumed you would meet the second requirement:

(2) Physical Presence:

*Physical present in the state for 30 months within 5 years before applying.

5 years = 1826 days = 60 months

100 days only 3 months so you are good.

Allright guys, wanted to update. Just got out of my interview at the Mt Laurel office. The officer seemed friendly. I breezed through the civil and written test questions. Then she asked me the dreaded question."Have you taken any trips since the application". I have been waiting 13 months and I have exactly 13 trips since my application ! Lucky 13.  I handed the officer the formatted sheet of all the trips neatly organized. She started to enter them into the system, but about 5 or 6 trips in she said, this will take too long and she cannot make a decision today as she has to verify each trip in another system. I pleaded that I have  pregnant fiance back home and that's the reason I made the trips and to please try to accommodate me. She didn't want to budge as she said she had other appointments to take care of. (To me it seemed it would take her about 15 mins max to verify the information). She said it would take her a week or two to review these now and I would have to wait for a decision and oath. DANG. So many people got same day oath letters . Wish I was one of them. The fiasco continues. All the best to all waiting!

TLDR; Do not take a lot of overseas trips after your application if you are looking for approval during interview (I know this is already advised by lawyers, but I am unfortunately evidence of the fact)
